The National Scholastic Press Association announced the 2008 Pacemaker Finalists last week and now there’s a video with comments and tips from the judges for future contest contributors.
From the announcement by NSPA Executive Director, Logan Aimone:
“The National Scholastic Press Association has already announced finalists for the 2008 Yearbook Pacemaker. When visiting the Web link below, you will see a gallery of covers of the finalists. Click on an image, and it enlarges for a detailed view. The blog below also has written judges’ comments about the process as well as a video highlighting some exemplary work. However, please don’t read anything into an example being used (or not used). When the video was made, the judges had not communicated about scoring, and the scores had not been tabulated.
We provide these to you as a way to encourage improvement and education for all yearbook staffs.
Enjoy, and congratulations to the finalists!”
